Just to keep things in perspective....:-)

A photograph of the new men's loo at the Sofitel in Queenstown, NZ, sent by my friend, Kit Wilson of Katikati, NZ. What do you think, guys? Opinions of the decor wanted.

Maybe we could design a women's loo with all of our fav men painted stallside (maybe on the outside...we DO want our privacy;-)

Very unique. I'm surprised they didn't include a few men on the wall though.

Probably any homophobic men would've been unable to urinate :-)

Yes, I heard this was making the rounds and with good reason:-)

I think, were I a man, the one bending down for a close inspection might unsettle me too. gawd. And yes, I agree it could create a bit of a stir among the extreme fundamentalists. I have to smile, though. A friend who's a church goer told me about a group that had been formed at their church to study the sins of porm. Curious, she went to one meeting. Seems they showed a short porm film each time and passed out porn photos. Oh, to be a fly on the wall! (she never went back:-)

She never went back to the group. Her impression was that the group, especially the leader, was shall we say, a bit too interested in exploring this topic. I agree with you. If they wanted to have a discussion group and talk about how to cut back on porn, it's one thing, but I don't think you have to see more than one porn flick to get the idea. I saw two when i was in my late twenties. Two famous ones...Devil In Miss Jones and that other one that got the star arrested. Both bored me silly. Clearly, they do it for some people, though, judging by the number of cars in the adult book store/peek show parking lot not far from here:-)

Reacting just personally to it, I probably would just laugh if I encountered this in a restroom -- they are, after all, just paintings...

A number of years back a popular bar in downtown Minneapolis had those two-way mirrors (or whatever you call them) on the walls of the men's restroom -- from the outside, people saw a wall of mirrors, from the inside you could see out at people walking by.

Most of the time anyway --

At one point the bar management found that they had to dim the lights in the men's room, because the lights were so bright that sometimes it was possible for people walking by outside to see the men inside at the urinals. A little more disconcerting than paintings...

Hi Lyle,
I think I could pass on being able to watch people on the sidewalk while doing my thing, too:-)

There've been some pretty innovative ideas for bathrooms, eh?

Pris - I've only just seen this here; what a hoot. I thought they were a quiet, civilized lot down in NZ, but they seem to have a well-developed sense of humour, too.
Strange, that this topic has excited more comments than any other here; I wonder why?
I don't think it would bother me, having these lovelies stare at me - I'm hardened to it :-)

I figured you would like it lol
