I now have either a bad cold or the flu and am feeling a bit nuts with one thing after another. All I can say again is 'I shall return'. Right now the screen is a blur and I'm keeling over. I'm missing my blogging and visiting all the blogs I enjoy!

So sorry, pris. Feel better.
Makes my heart sink, the UK government is also complicit . . . I just started reading Craig Murray's memoir, former British ambassador to Uzbekistan, he was sacked for protesting about the torture methods used . . . hope your cold doesn't hijack you too much, I am on day six of mine, just beginning to recover!
Pepe..thanks.
nmj...you're recovering on day six. glad for you and also that gives me hope. you know how these things feel like they'll go on forever. this is the beginning of day three for me. I'm still pretty much down for the count.
Hey Pris, I actually blogged about colds & ME/CFS recently - since getting ill, I find that colds are recursive and don't really disappear for about a month, so you really have to take care as I'm sure you well know! I am a huge fan of vitamin C and eat it by the handful in low periods, have also had it intravenously, it definitely boosted me! Take good care, NMJ
I know...everything is slower going awaay. Over the years, mine don't come as often or last as long as in the first years, thank goodness. Can't take Vit C, but am a fan of it, too. Developed interstitial cystitis after a year of recurring infections that my immunologist or urologist couldn't get under control for that long, so I have to avoid all acidic things, caffeine (as in chocolate..a rare treat, anyway) and a few other things. If I do, I do fine. If I don't, I have really bad spasms and pain again. Gads.
