A rest day...

I'm back from a class giving lessons on how to give a daily shot of a one year med that will help me with my bone density. It was an astounding -3 in some areas of my spine when tested, making me a fracture just waiting to happen. I usually know either right away or else within a few days if I can take a med without having debilitating side effects, so wish me luck. I'm super tired, though. The class was a lot of lecturing about bone density etc before they ever got to teaching the shot. By then, my usual dizziness from CFIDS had kicked into overdrive and I was glad the nurse provided a rubber ball for us to practice on first. Plan to just chill today and hope Tropical Storm Chris decides not to aim towards us or the Gulf states.

There is always more beyond the osteoporosis..I know you will be all right, conquering the world and be all the fresher because you will triumph

Thanks...I do know that. I just need to let things out sometimes. When I get back on the spiritual plane I always feel better--and sometimes I need someone to remind me to do that(so thanks). I've been dizzy all day, with more memory problems than usual (usually goes hand in hand with the dizziness) so it's just been a long day.

I once took a full day of exams with vertigo. NO fun!!! I hope that you are feeling better soon. I agree with Ultra: if anyone can conquer the world these days it is our Pris!

Rest up thoroughly and I dearly hope this shot works.
I have very slight osteopenia that I've been trying to reverse by walking a few miles a day and increasing sun exposure since my diet is already rich with calcium and I already took CA supplements for years before the dex found some osteopenia.

Thanks , both of you. I have so many reactions to meds (nearly any I've been given) that I'm hoping I can take this. I've been doing all of the right natural things for years, but still kept losing bone, so the time has come to at least try this. I'm just exhausted today and still dizzy.

erin, can't imagine taking an exam with vertigo1!!!

OUCH.....no one should have to give themself a shot......bad enough you have to have them......I guess I could do it, but I hope I don't have to

Lee...thanks for the hugs. I felt them!

Nea...I hate needles. I won't even look when they draw blood at the doctor's office. No, no fun for a scaredy cat like me, either;-)
