To the ocean yesterday and back with HAIGA!

Yesterday, the dizziness abated enough for me to ride over to the ocean with my husband and take a few photographs of the ocean I love so very much. I was on the sidewalk that runs alongside the beach and got two of these with zoom. The wind was out of the south and the late afternoon was warm and balmy. We only stayed about 20 minutes, but it's the first time I've been up to that for months now. The angels have blessed me, indeed!

Nicely done, Pris. The beach can be a wonderful place. I like the seagulls and the baby crab :)

Thanks, Steve...yes, they do look strangely human, don't they?:-)

Beautiful Pris. My favourite place to be too...but your sea is ''so'' blue compared to ours. It's stunning.
Am so glad you felt up to this trip.
I am sure you feel revitalised.
Lovely haiga...

I remember sailing out of the inlet once when the tide was coming out and the water was a pale clear green as it ran with us and suddenly, we passed over an actual line where the water suddenly became a dark purplish blue. It was stunning. The water in the Bahamas has all sorts of colors from turquoise to green running through. When I was up north , the ocean was most often an opaque grayish green.

I enjoyed the visit to your beach and the haigas, as well! Last night, at sunset, was a full moon being eclipsed by the earth. I couldn't see it because we were having a snow swirl. It was just like being inside one of those snow globes!

Hi Tom
Believe it or not, we only live 3 1/2 miles from the ocean, but this area is so filled with residents AND tourists AND snowbirds, that it can take over 20 minutes sometimes or more just to get that far. When I used to bike, I could make it in less that time, with my biggest slowdown for safety in the downtown three block section before the Intracoastal bridge where what was a quiet lazy downtown has turned into sidewalk cafes, shops, antique places and a mecca for wanderers.
