A nice couple of fashion plates. I particularly like the Joan Crawford glasses and the plaid cummerbund!

You, at least, dressed up. I was prone (then as now) to wearing jeans, sweatshirts, and tennis shoes.

Then, my hair was usually long and wild. Now, it's short and wild. :D

Hi pepe
I don't think they would've liked jeans at the prom lol. I had on casual clothes as soon as I hit the house from school. High school had a strict dress code of dresses or skirts and sweaters/blouses and for the boys, no jeans, but nice pants and a nice shirt (of course they could get way with pegged legs and upturned collars). Nowadays, you can wear nearly anything to school as long as it's not too revealing. Not saying it is good or bad...just different.

I never went to a prom. My HS was on a navy base, and my boyfriend was a cute blue-eyed blond sailor. I majored in art. We went to a few dances at church. Looking back, I'm sure my HS wouldn't have allowed jeans, etc. either. So I must've had other clothes....Heh.

This is lovely. Kind of a ''coloured sepia effect''.
We don't have a high school ''prom'' as such. We had ''school discos'' which I suppose was the equivalent.
In high schools now they have something called an ''R.O.A'' night, (Record of Achievement) where the girls and guys get dressed in their best bib and tucker as they call it here...ha.

pepe, I bet you didn't have any other clothes. We need photos as proof:-)

Ellen, always interesting to see how other countries do things!
